Named after its function, a chimney gather’s job is to gather the smoke and combustibles generated by an open fire, collecting them together and funnelling them up the chimney stack. Chimney gather hoods are used at the base of the chimney stack. They allow for the gather of flue gasses, with minimum resistance to flow. They are generally used in open fire installations.
