WebNov 23, 2014 · On mine, before firing, I disassembled, quick cleaned and used the provided DW lube and without the recoil spring racked the slide a hundred or few times, wipe down and repeat. Then I put the pistol back together and hand racked the slide some more and then put 50 or so wonderful rounds through it. Repeat.

Ballistol is safe with DT. DW recommends FP-10 which is a fine product. I use Mobil 1 on all of my firearms including those w/DT- some with 40K+ rounds that remain in perfect condition and function.
